    Hi,

We recently enrolled a batch of candidates and a couple of candidates have put forward their residency permits as proof to remain. On the back of the residency permit, it is reading ‘no public funds’ however upon looking up what this means for the candidate, there is no mention of education support etc. just state benefits. Does this mean they will not be eligible for AEB funding?

    Thanks in advance.

    Lucy

    Hi Lucy,
    From the 2018/19 funding rules:
    42. The learner’s immigration permission in the UK may have a ‘No recourse to public funds’ condition. Public funds do not include education or education funding, so this does not affect a learner’s eligibility, which must be decided under the normal eligibility conditions.

You will need to check the funding rules
