    Hello,

    We are currently a Training Provider and have been for a long time, however, we are thinking about recruiting our own apprentice and we were wondering if anyone has any advice or knows anything that we should be aware of when becoming an Employer-Provider.

    We have had our own apprentices before, just not under the new funding scheme.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

    The ESFA currently have guidance in place for providers who are also employers of apprentices.

    The link is here;

    I haven’t seen anything for 18/19 yet but if you keep an eye on the Apprenticeship Funding Rules pages of the ESFA over the coming days and weeks they will eventually appear.

    Hi Pete,

    Thanks.

    We are more interested in any fundamental differences between employing an apprentice under the old funding scheme to the new fudning scheme.

    Hi,

    I think the main thing to be aware of when delivering to your own staff is recording actual costs of delivery etc. so you can evidence the funding you are going to claim…
