Hi, We have an Employer based in Scotland with an Apprentice based in England. Is the employer able to utilise their Apprenticeship Levy for this Apprentice despite being based in Scotland?
Or would the employer be governed by the funding arrangements for Scotland i.e. can the levy be utilised nationally?

The devolved nations have their own arrangements regarding their Levy funding although this is an Interesting scenario.
Although your employer may have to pay the Levy their Levy pot would only be based on the % of English employees and they could only use the funds in their account to pay for apprenticeship training and assessment for apprentices that work at least 50% of the time in England.
I suppose it may be possible the same as a National employer who can only use Levy funding for their English based employee’s.

You really need to ask this question direct to the ESFA.
