We have 16-18 traineeship learners and we need to record their work experience onto the ILR. How we do we do this? We use the PICS management system. We have the employers ERN number and the employer details. How do we input the employment status and employment intensity factor because the learner is still unemployed and looking for work and is not employed but we do have to show the learners placement
In 2014-15 there will be proper fields for entering the Work Experience details, but for 2013-14 you put the employer in the Employment Status fields, but keep their EmpStat set at 11. This is the way it works this year.
sampage, are you on PICS too? if so it is easy to add a change to employment status. All you need to do is edit the employment status, click on new, it comes up with the new employment status as “Change to employment status”, input the date for the start of work experience placement, keep the employment status as 11.
