Now that the GCSE rule has changed for the EYE L3 in the Childcare sector to accept F/Skills L2 in Maths and English. Can anyone please advise on the following:

We have learners that have now have completed their EYE qualification but however only got a Maths D grade last June and again a D in the November re-sit. All learners have now completed their F/Skills L2.
Can anyone advise how I add this information to the learner ILR?

Do I add F/skills learning aim to ILR and zero fund it ?
Will F/skills be funded etc. as it is not part of the framework
Do I code the GCSE on the ILR as D and achieved etc.

I have forwarded this to the help desk, but someone out there may have already asked and knows the correct answer

    Any help would be appreciated

    Paul Rogers

Has any formal guidance come out about this, as I have similar issues, including learners who want to stop the GCSE and move to functional skills?

    Hi Paul
The service desk have come back to me with the reply below.

You would need to code the following in the ILR –
The GCSE as a D grade
Add the Functional Skills onto the ILR as unfunded

As regards to funding, you would not be eligible for Functional Skills funding as you have already had the funding for the GCSE.

    Kind regards, Sally
