I just wanted some clarification for a learner wanting to attend an AEB course next academic year……

The learner is 19, unemployed, prior attainment is L3 (they have L2) and they are wanting to attend a course at L2.

This course in not on the legal entitlement list so my question is this learner fundable?

They would be co-funded – you would receive around 50% of the unweighted funding rate

refer to the table on page 22 of the 17/18 AEB funding rules

    hope this helps, Kelly.

Sorry. ignore the reference to co-funded, I didnt notice the comment re being unemployed. As long as they receive a eligible benefit in line with the funding rules then you can receive full funding

    Hi Helen,

As far as i’m aware, if the learner already holds a L2/L3 legal entitlement then they are eligible to complete a L2 local flexibility qualification.

    Kind regards,
