We work with a company whos head office is in England but one of their depots is in Chepstow just over the border in Wales. They want to put some of those people through an apprenticeship. They are drivers and spend over 51% of there time in England, can they be funded or are they classed as Welsh learners? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    many thanks

Yes? As you say, they spend more than half of their work time in England, so it’s no different to any other learner in those circs.

Wouldn’t fancy the evidence to prove they’re in England for 51% though? Do the trucks have tracking devices (only semi-joking)!? Also, if you’re delivering OTJ at their depot then that’s going to be more work time in Wales…

Thanks Steve I will have to check about OTJ and where that will be delivered and tracking the learning.

    thanks again
