We have a number of mature prospective students who do have their level 2 qualifications (which are a requirement of their standard) but do not have the certificates anymore to prove it. There is a paragraph in the funding rules for training providers (P79.2) which states ‘registration and examination (including certification) costs associated with mandatory qualifications excluding any license to practise’ can be funded. Does this mean that the cost for them to get their certificates from the examining body can be funded as having their level 2 is mandatory requirement of their standard? We presume it doesn’t mean that but we wanted some clarification before we say for sure they have to pay themselves.

    Many thanks

Someone is reading it out of context.
