In the run up to a General Election, the Education and Skills Funding Agency, along with all government departments, has to comply with a series of restrictions imposed on external communications activities. These restrictions cover involvement in events, wider marketing activities and online forums such as FE Connect.
This will impact on the detail and scale of responses that we can contribute to content posted on FE Connect from across the sector. We will endeavour to answer specific technical questions as usual but there may be some material that we cannot address. All the questions we receive will be looked at on a case by case basis.
Can you say if the ESFA will make any clarifications on the non-levy allocations that were published last week. It is clear in some of the response to these from certain quarters that there was some misinterpretation of the content of the allocations (the allocations were for 8 months starts for non-levy as opposed to full 8 month allocations including carry in as some people thought), and this has created a certain amount unease within the sector.
It would be very helpful if some clarity was brought to these, and if possible base line data was made available so that sector can make some informed judgements about their own allocations and to sector as a whole.
Will the ESFA be updating the ILR Entry Software so that data for Apprenticeship Standards from 1st May can be included in returns.
The current V.1 does not support the entry of Funding and delivery monitoring code ACT.
